Clash Royale CLAN TAG #URR8PPP Why chown and chmod -R 777 /my directory does not work I have tried 2 below command's line: sudo chmod 755 -R mydirectory from root chmod -R o+w mydirectory from root/storage but none of them can change files and folders permission. they could but when the end-user upload a picture the site does not show that. and the admin(I) have to change permission manually. what can i do? thanks for reading and answering. My Website will contain thousands of sub directories named 'e', a php script within the primary directory's php file creates this directory if it does not yet exist on form submission. I need this newly created directory to be chmod 777. How can I do this? Can I set this with the php called by the form or can i tell apache to default any directory named e to be chmodded to 777 automatically? ...or? If you are using PHP, why don't you tag this with php?
