How to chmod 777 All directories named 'e'?

My Website will contain thousands of sub directories named 'e', a php script within the primary directory's php file creates this directory if it does not yet exist on form submission. I need this newly created directory to be chmod 777. How can I do this? Can I set this with the php called by the form or can i tell apache to default any directory named e to be chmodded to 777 automatically? ...or?

If you are using PHP, why don't you tag this with php? (always tag the question with the language name, if possible.)
